TIME LESS part 4

TIME LESS  part 4

Taluk
Taluk paced restlessly in the woods near the lake. He returned here every evening hoping to see her again. It was unclear why he desired to be near the human female. He experienced an unfamiliar longing when he came across her two days ago.  He was startled to see anyone since the small lake rarely had any visitors. A memory that was not his own, filled his mind causing him to miscalculate a step and come down hard on a branch. The sound startled her and she looked right at him. The human inside him became very excited and for the first time in two seasons, he felt his loins stir.

He did not engage her but had simply moved further down the lake to be able to watch her at a safe distance. Her dark hair was pulled back in a ponytail. She was tall with long-toned legs and arms and a small waist. Her breast was ample. He found that he liked looking at her and the human inside of him did as well. Filling his mind with words he had no meaning for. He flashed a picture of mating with a doe in his mind. Hoping the human understood. Anger and frustration assailed him. Taluk continued lapping at the water's edge and then ate some of the new shoots of grass. She got up to leave and the human urged him to follow her.

He followed her home and was pleased to see she was staying with the woman who fed him fruit and nuts and talked to him. He rooted around across the road in the woods where he could see her when she emerged later and had taken a walk. He followed her safely out of view in the woods that ran along the long winding road. She stopped a few times. Then she did something strange and started walking on her hands. Upside down. While Taluk was engaged in watching, William transformed and laughed. This startled the girl and she fell heavily hurting her arm. Taluk angered, fought the change, and resumed his form. William felt bad and a surge of protectiveness flooded through their system. They both felt the need to protect her. Taluk pawed at the ground and walked in circles trying to decide if he should approach her. The human was thinking of kissing her and taking care of her injury and holding her. This translated to Taluk and he felt he had to protect her. The human was quiet, lost in his own thoughts so Taluk decided on his own to approach the girl.

She was kneeling and her eyes were closed. This looked submissive to Taluk so he approached her slowly.

He had been foolish earlier and had licked her ear. Something deep within him yearned for her. He could not control himself. Ever since that she-devil white doe put a hex on him he has been of two minds. His reward, immortality.  Why him? Was it because he was the biggest,  proudest and oldest male in the region. He no longer had his harem but he still enjoyed the rut. He would have been happy just mating with her, that is what he thought she wanted. But the deer queen bestowed on him some ancient curse, merging his body with the soul of a human. They could barely even communicate as he did not know the language of the humans. He had been a pretty bad host for most of the time, refusing to merge with the human at the transition. What did she expect, that two males would get along just fine? Neither were in complete control so they mainly tried to ignore each other. Taluk showed him pictures in his mind when they absolutely needed to communicate. The human William is quiet most of the time.

But there is something deep and elemental about Celestina that affects them both. The human side of him reaches for her constantly. Taluk has not mated in two seasons. The feeling of loss and abject refusal at the thought of mating overwhelms Taluk every time he comes near a doe.

William
William discovered he could shift between forms and now Taluk, his stag form, is able to be trapped in human form at his whim. However, it does not last long and Taluk fights him vehemently to return back to his own familiar form.

All of the walking and foraging and sparring has made William fast and incredibly strong. He has had nothing but time to learn to assert his mind. But he is lonely. He thinks constantly of his old life. After the initial wonder of the forest and his new life, it became monotonous and wore off about 6 months in. The great merging that the deer queen promised never seemed to happen. William turned to his memories and started guiding his Stag form closer to his old home. Rebekah looked forward to seeing him and had become fond of him, leaving him fruit and nuts and talking to him incessantly. It was the only thing that kept him sane.

He missed his family but as time wore on he thought of them less and less. Celestina filled his mind, the kiss they shared when they were younger, the first time they jumped in the lake together. And he was so happy to see her when she returned. Her tire had blown out and he was able to walk parallel to her when she decided to walk the rest of the way to her aunt and uncle's home. Something spooked her at the last minute and she ran away.

William had transformed into his human form and appeared in her room for a moment. He just looked at her as she slept but Taluk, his stag, became uncomfortable inside the house so William had to leave quickly. He was comfortable maneuvering around the house as a human but did not think he would be successful as an 8 foot tall stag trying to navigate the stairs. Taluk and William stood in the yard looking up at the window hoping she would look out but she did not. So eventually he turned and went back into the forest.
